BENVENUTO to the Dante Alighieri Society of Charleston.

We focus on Italian culture and language with a passionate love for history, art, music, opera, cinema and of course – food, wine, fashion, design. All of which are definitely Italian specialties.

The Charleston Chapter of the Dante Alighieri Society was established in January 2017 by Claudio Pastor, the Executive Director of the Società Dante Alighieri of Miami, and Marina Gloria Bellelli, the then General Consul of Italy for the Southeast of the US. Also participated the HON John Tecklemburg, Mayor of Charleston.

The Society is a nonprofit corporation with Donatella della Porta as the President since 2017, Eugene Massamillo as Vice President and Bob Gebhardt as Treasurer.
