June is the month for our very big Italian party!

JUNE 2026 – We are delighted to invite our member to an Italian celebration on Sunday, June 14, at a stunning venue on Wadmalaw Island that will be filled with live Italian music, delicious Italian food, and fine Italian wines. To make attending easy, two buses will take guests to and from the venue, so you can relax and enjoy the day without worrying about transportation.

The venue is a country estate only 30 minutes from historic Charleston. It is a world apart, a Lowcountry eden, the size of Manhattan still reflecting the agrarian tradition of three centuries. There is no industry, no commercial activity other than farming and shrimping. This estate is a family-owned preserve, protected against development by conservation easements, dedicated to appreciating all that is magical about the Lowcountry. The spectacular orchards, fields, horse pastures, maritime forests, and fully-stocked freshwater lake define a pastoral retreat and animal sanctuary.

After this event, the Society will take a summer break, and our regular program will resume in October.
